Hello members and possible members of Marshtomp's Mudpit. If you are interested in joining the forum, reading these rules is a must. Please also note that there is swearing in these rules, to demonstrate one of our rules.

Forum Rules

1. Please treat staff with respect. If you disagree with one of our decisions, please take the matter up by PMing that staff member or the Owner. We will endeavour to resolve the situation peacefully.

2. Please refrain from double posting. The only exceptions to this rule are blogs, sprite shops [if updated with important news or the completion of a request] and fanfictions/stories [if you're adding another Chapter or making an announcement].

3. Please do not spam. This means that you do not post things that do not contribute to a thread.

4. In relation to Rule Four, stay on topic. For example, don't post "Oh yeah, Marshtomp is the best Pokémon ever" in a thread about The Legend of Zelda.

5. Here on Marshtomp's Mudpit, we incorporate a three word rule for posts. This means that you must have at least three words in every post. There are exceptions to this rule; only the Forum Games listed in this thread [http://forums.marshtompsmudpit.net/index.php?showtopic=509] are exempt from the three word rule. Also, the only other thread exempt from this rule is the What Are You Currently Listening To thread [http://forums.marshtompsmudpit.net/index.php?showtopic=45]

6. On MM, we allow swearing. We do ask members to try not to swear regularly, considering our audience and we will notify people when they 'over swear'. Also, we do ban a few words. Words such as shit, fuck, piss, bastard and such are permitted, within reason. The word c*nt [censored for the sake of minors :3] is a banned word, although its incredibly rare use in stories is permitted, with the consent of the Owner. Racist and derogative words are explicitly forbidden.

7. No flaming at all. We will not tolerate members arguing on the forum. Just a note, if you wish to argue, please keep to a form of Instant Messaging if you must. It's not nice to see it on the forum :/

8. Don't play mod. This means telling members when they've broken rules and such. It's a staff member's job to do it. If you see rule breaking, PM a staff member, or click that shiny report button on the post :3

9. No illegal activity please. This means no links to ROM and Emulator downloads, no links to illegal music downloads and such. This also involves drugs and other illegal activities. 10. Advertise only in your profile. You may post a link to your site in your blog, if you have one. But don't be ridiculous about that. Also, certain sites are banned. If you're worried that you may be advertised a banned site on MM, ask the Owner.

11. Try not to make your signature too large. If you're worried your signature is too large, ask an Admin or the Owner. Plus, try not to stretch the page with it.

12. Concerning stories, please include an age rating in the thread name. This can help members to see how mature the story is. If the story is rated below 12+, you may forgo the rating. Also include a list of objectionable content in the thread please. Any story rated 18+ MUST be consulted with the Owner.

13. Do not post pornography, hentai or other adult content on the forum. We do not tolerate any descriptions of such things [although mentioning is fine stories as long as it is literally that] and you will be banned if you do so.

Shoutbox Rules

1. All rules from the forum apply to the Shoutbox.

2. TPM and adoptable sites discussion is banned.

3. Do not post images on the shoutbox that are larger than 100x100.

4. While we restrict swearing on the forum, please don't swear on the shoutbox. The occasional spot of profanity is accepted.
